Just to let you know how I’ve got on with the double glazed windows you supplied for my narrowboat. Once again thanks for doing this in double quick time.
The windows have been excellent, warm in winter, cool in summer, just what I wanted from double glazed units. The sound dampening is great too.
I was initially concerned about using double glazed units (reading various forums etc on the subject), but it became apparent the concerns about units seem to be expressed by those who didn’t actually own them. Now I’ve had a chance to go through a winter and summer I’m most impressed. Almost everyone I’ve met with new builds seem to be going the double glazed route.
I’ve not had a single leak from the windows. It all sounds too good to be true, so I’m trying to find something negative to say…… I can’t!

We completed our fit out last June and launched the boat at King’s Lynn docks. She is moored at Denver Sluice on the River Great Ouse. We leave next week for a four month exploration of all the northern waterways.

Whilst on the subject of windows, I would just like to say how pleased I am that I have your double-glazed units throughout my boat, which enables me to lead a warm and comfortable life in the wintertime. The company who built my boat, entered it in a competition run by the I.W.A in 1992, the year it was commissioned. The builder had taken a lot of trouble to use only the best materials for the boat and I have benefited from his choices. The windows have retained their looks, strength and shape since that time (16 years ago).
