The definition of the bulkhead is a structural partition that divides a boat into compartments. Although these compartments may not be visible, the divide will still be apparent in the internal structure of the boat. Bulkhead windows on narrowboats are usually found at the front cabin bulkhead near the bow of the boat, usually located to the left and/or right hand sides of the bow doors.
Generally speaking a boat builder will have their own bespoke pattern for their standard bulkhead windows and will offer other ideas for customers that have different requirements. We have manufactured bulkhead windows to all shapes and sizes and believe that we can offer many solutions to meeting your requirements.
Important Notes: We do not usually offer opening options on these types of shapes, but please do not hesitate to contact us should you require us to look into solutions for your requirements.
All Channelglaze Ltd windows are made to measure to fit your preferred aperture, therefore please allow time for the manufacture of your windows. Please note: We work to the finished internal frame size (aperture) and anticipate that there has already been an allowance made for clearance. Please see our Frame options for guidance on clearances.
Our windows are drilled and countersunk ready for fitting with No. 6 screws. If fitting with pop rivets, frames can be drilled without countersink. Please note: fitting materials are not included with this window unless requested.
As standard these double glazed windows will comply with Category D of the RCD, please note that we can manufacture to Cat C. Price on application.
